  • Can anyone identify this prop ?

Can anyone help with identifying the prop in the picture. The photo was taken in 1932 and the aircraft was a biplane seaplane (float plane) in service with the Swedish military.
if you can identify the aircraft it would be appreciated.

I sure cannot, and I think it's going to be a challenge to positively identify it. It's a left hand rotation, which can narrow it down some, but it will still be hard.

I'd probably start with inquiries to the Swedish military in hopes that someone will recognize it. I tell people that propellers are like tires. They wear out and break, and many models fit a number of different aircraft, and many aircraft have a number of approved propeller models. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of different models that have been manufactured over the years.

I can’t tell you anything about the propeller or its manufacturer but the aircraft is a Heinkel HD19, or its Swedish built equivalent, the Svenska J4.
A search of Google images and Wikipedia will reveal a wealth of information.

      Andy
