    Hi All,

    looking for any info on a wooden 4 blade propeller : stamped markings:

    DRG No T29738
    1463
    NOV 38

    I would have expected to see that number appear on this list, since it appears it was manufactured in 1938. I believe there were more "T" prefixes in a list of WW1 era propellers, and it's possible that this was manufactured well after the war but still for a WW1 era plane. That is IF it appears on that list. I'll be able to check in a few days, or someone else may be able to link it to something in the meantime.

    Good luck. Sometimes they simply can't be identified. A full size photo might help, as I suspect that it's a left hand thread but can't tell from the hub close up.

        Judging by the surroundings, that looks as if it has a diameter of around 24 inches. Is that correct?
        This and the fact that it has only four hub bolts suggest an auxiliary propeller and would have driven generator or other equipment.
        If I am correct about its size, it is relatively large for a generator propeller, so I think it probably drove a winch on a target towing aircraft.
