  • Is this an Airplane Propeller?

I found a propeller of some sort at an antique store and don't know anything about it. I initially thought it was an airplane propeller but after reading around here maybe it's an airboat propeller? It's 42 1/2 inches long. I don't see any markings or numbers. Any information someone can give on what it is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not likely an airplane propeller, but I'm not sure what it might have been used on. The hub is unusual wit four bolt holes instead of six or eight, and it's shorter than most any aircraft propeller, which suggest at least that it was made to fit in a contained structure like you see on airboats, snow sleighs, etc. It's also a left hand thread, which is more typical of a pusher configuration for most standard engines. Without model numbers and other identification it's probably impossible to know much more about it.
