Value of this Gipsy Major prop?

I'd love to have an estimate value of this propeller that I intend to sell.

Wing markings:
RS/12/60

Hub markings:
.DRG Z 6010/5/C
GIPSY MAJOR VII
n 6 84.P3.53

93392.
94492.
97792.

Last number has been stamped multiple times. Final image shows the worst damaged part in detail. It measures 82 inches.

I don't think that amount of damage factors much into its value as a display prop, which is likely what it would be used for, but the bigger concern is the lack of identification of its aircraft usage. I can't find that drawing number on this list, which is pretty extensive, so more research would be required to find that information.

Most buyers are anxious to know, and be able to document, the specific type of aircraft and engine associated with any display propeller.

The data from your hub shows that the prop dates from the two decades after WW2. A prop of almost similar dimensions was fitted to the Auster 6 and 7 which also used the Gipsy Major VII engine.

If you sold it at auction here in GB it would sell for about 2-300 GBP.

With kind regards,

Bob
