Fiat CR1 propeller
Iíve just required a nice wooden prop with following info on the hub.
CR1 HS 300HP
D 2480
DIS 520
On the other side a number and 26 8
The edges are sheet metal.
Iíve done some research and found the following
In Belgium they did test with the Fiat CR1 in 1925 and 1926
One plane crashed.
They have rejected the planes.
So only 2 where used.
Perhaps the propeller came from the one thatís not crashed.
Only Italy and Latvia used this airplane.
Propeller was found in Flanders Belgium so......
Anyone with more info?

Ha ha, they say if a plane looks right it flies right. Not the case here I think!

Probably, but keep in mind that it would makes sense when manufacturing any airplane it would make sense to make several propellers for it once the manufacturing process had been set up. That's clearly one of the reasons for the abundance of "spare" propellers that we find today that have no evidence of ever being mounted.

Thanks dave for the answer.
It has signs of wear that it was used.
The hub has imprints of bolts for the hubcenterplate
But of course, there wil be several spare propellers delivered with the 2 test planes.
