My father also gave me a shelf piece that he had made out of a damaged propeller. It looks to be made of some sort of fibre with a metal leading edge. It is painted black with a yellow tip which looks original and a painted # on the yellow JP24/SS, the last letter is a little damaged and could be something else. My father installed an altimeter into the prop of the same vintage, it is a 35000 feet Alt with markings Ref No MX.MX1Va 6A/685. It is an interesting piece and my father claimed he could forcast the weather by tapping it to see which way it moved, strangely he was usually right. Is it possible to identify the propellor?
thanks Clive.
