  • Need Help With Sensenich Propeller

    Hey Guys,

I was hoping someone could tell me if this is an airboat propeller, or airplane. I visited the Sensenich site, but I couldn't make sense of anything. I did read that X is commonly associated with airboats, but this prop does not have an X. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

I think it's almost certainly an airboat propeller, probably fairly old. The design is fairly charateristic, with broad blades, squared off tips, and what appears to be a flat pitch.

The fact that the drawing numbers don't match the typical pattern for certificated aircraft propellers is another indication that it's probably not an "airplane" propeller.

Thanks so much Dave! I spent all night searching for info and learning about props. That was great, but I couldn't really come with a definitive answer. Keep up the great work.
