  • unidentified truncated propeller

    Got this propeller hub from my father in law - he had it for as long as I could remember. Any idees. The hole is about 3" in diameter
    On the front there are the numbers/letters G611 N64.
    On the edge 545 HP and SPPX
    On the oter edge 257 580 (these are all best guess!)

    Looks like a British manufactured auxilliary prop of some kind.

      thanks for the feedback Dave - where can I go to find out more? Just put it on ebay with a starting prcie of £50.

          The numbers G611 N64 are British and indicate a batch of 100 props made around late 1917. The batches before this were for the SE5A aircraft, so 545 might be SE5.
