  • Flottorp Identification

I inherited an old wooden prop from my dad. It is 72 inches in length. It has metal covered leading edge. It has DES 25 stamped in prop near hub. It has a 6 bolt hole hub.It has a Flottrop decal midway on one blade. I kept this prop for years and finally decided to clean it. I was delighted to find a beautiful four layer laminated wood . Yes, I am aware that I probably diminished it's value on the collectors market. That does not make me unhappy at all. The improvement of it's appearance is worth every penny as I have no intention of ever selling it. Can someone broaden my knowledge regarding this family heirloom. I suspect Dad used it on his air-drive marsh boat years ago. Thank you for all thoughts and considerations. Perhaps it has an earlier history.

Des 100 doesn't conform to the design number schema for Flottorp props for aircraft. Maybe it was made for airboat use. Sorry I cannot help.
