  • modern propellor Tiger moth?

    Hello,
I've recently acquired a wooden propeller, which is approximately 5' in diameter, light coloured wood, copper or brass leading edge coverings and what appears to have been a canvass covering the wooden surfaces which is under this copper covering.

There are many identifying numbers, some difficult to read, but it appears to have pitch ID number and also what I have been told a military id number.

I will attempt to list later what these numbers are to assist, but can anyone please help me with the pitch of a propeller that a Gypsy Moth or Tiger Moth may have had fitted, as I suspect this is the aircraft the propeller came from,.

    With thanks

    Geoff

Five feet in diameter is too small for a Tiger Moth and all but the very smallest of light planes. Pictures and a list of the markings may help a lot.
