    Hello all,

I bought a home 5 years ago in Salem, MA. I found a propeller in my basement, and was wondering if anyone could lend me any insight. It was (one end is broken off) about 69" long. Has a 6 hole hub pattern. The numbers 8071 appear on the hub. Someone wrote in paint on the prop: March 26, 1951, First Day First Plane, Beverly Airport. Any info regarding the type of plane this came from or any other info would be appreciated. This thing really has my curiousity.

I don't find 8071 included as a part of any design number I have for any manufacturer. Are there by chance any others markings embossed into the wood? From this information alone I seriously doubt any identification is possible.
