  • Unknown modified wooden propeller

Can anyone help identify this modified wooden propeller?

Possibly from accident in Australia, early 1940's?

Note it was turned into a "fruit bowl", hence only the centre part of the propeller exists and does not have any markings/identification.

9 holes. Each bolt hole approx 11mm diameter.

Note two markings at 4 o'clock on picture below.

There are 8 laminated pieces of timber for the depth of bowl.

The centre hole is 80mm diameter.

    Any information much appreciated.

I personally don't know of any 9 hole hubs, so if you can find an engine that used one it probably becomes a short list of possibilities.

It's very difficult even with numbers, but without them it's typically impossible to know for sure exactly what it went to.
