  • Very large prop 3100mm unknown

I've found a very large propeller with following dimensions
    3100mm length
    hub is 280mm diameter
Blade width is 420mm hub height is 250mm
The prop is very heavy and has 13 layers.
Can someone help me with more info.
i'm not sure if the axle is original or put later on.
    Could be something to display.

    Hi,

From its shape, the prop is probably a Breguet prop. I join pics of a Breguet serial 41 which is a little smaller (3.01, 37.5 blade width, 12 laminations and hub 220 mm thick, 10 holes, about 28kg. Markings: side 1: SERIE 41 / N430 / Y and airworthy stamp, side 2: BRE XIX A2 B2 / LORR 400 CV / C C).
If you can see just some remnants of markings, letters or digits, it could be enough for complete identification because I know what could be stamped on those props and few serials has been made.

      Hello Pierre Michel.
Thank you very much for the info about it. It has to be restored to view the markings.
It surely is possible that it could be from a Breguet xix since it was found in Belgium and in the twenties they have about 50 of them.
      thanks and greetings
      Geert
