  • Help to identify a propellor

We have a wooden propellor on display that I am struggling to identify. It is marked Wolff so is German and has some stamps on which may or may not be original and are fairly hard to read.

It is approximately 3.2 metres tip to tip.

    All help gratefully accepted!

Hi, this is a very interesting propeller. It is for 240 hp Maybach engine powered Rumpler CL.IV (6A7) what the stencelling discloses. The diameter is 318 cm, the pitch (‚Steigung‘ in German) is 185. The manufacturers number is 19314. A lot of useful information on this nice piece!

            Thanks.

The internet says (yeah I know ) the same engine was also fitted to a few airships. Does the stencilling confirm it is a Rumpler?

The stencelling clearly states ‚Zu Rumpler 6A7‘
