  • Cleaning wing tips

I recently acquired a Paragon propeller, circa 1917 (and will be doing some more research to support its use on a Curtis H 16) and would like to clean it without altering its historic value. I have read the threads on care of the wood but was not able to find anything relating to care of the metal wing tips. What, if anything, is best for these? Thanks....

They are best left with their natural patina. As soon as you polish the metal the propeller is assumed to have been "refinished", and its value is reduced considerably.
