  • Identification help - 8'4"

Hey guys. New to the forum, trying to figure out where my prop came from.

May not be "modern" as it's a dark wood. Eight bolt pattern (6" bolt spread on about a 2.5" for the shaft). 8'4"

    No stickers.

    Fairly symmetrical.

    Brass tips (tapered).

Has the following imprinted on the hub: S.C. 13468. 8'4". 5.0. Right Hand.

Ignore the mount (home depot and not at all made for or having come from a plane).

    Thanks for your help!

Probably "early". A picture might help quite a bit.

Yeah... I know. Unfortunately, the iPad can't upload unless I'm on the forum through, like, Tapatalk. I'll get one out when I get to a more powerful web tool.

      Thanks for the reply though!

It looks like a typical "toothpick" style propeller for a Curtiss OX5 engine, frequently used on planes like the JN4 "Jenny" and others.

          See this propeller for details.

The hub bolt hole circle should be 5 1/4" for use on the OX5 engine. See this link for details. The "SC" number is a Signal Corps number, but doesn't further help to identify it.
