    Good Morning Ruud,

    Welcome to the forum.

    Your prop is from a Fokker DVII, probably the DVIIf and dates from mid 1918.

    Your data is copied below for reference;

    185 PS
    B . W
    D283
    H 215
    HEINE
    N31888
    Maidmannsluft

    It translates as;

    185 Pferdestarke. 185 hp
    B . W BMW engine maker
    D283 Diameter in cms
    H 215 Pitch in cms
    HEINE Hugo Heine, one of Germany's leading prop makers
    N31888 Heine's serial number
    Maidmannsluft is Waidmannslust, the town outside Berlin where Heine's workshop was sited. It became part of Greater Berlin c1920.

    With kind regards,

          Sorry everyone, I have made about five changes to my first reply, to make it more readable.

          Ruud (are you Dutch?), I would like to buy your prop as well. Its value at auction is about €2500 Euro, if in good condition.

          Please post a photograph of the prop and the data stamped on it.

          With kind regards,

          Bob

            Dave,

            I think we should move this thread to 'Early Props' but I've forgotten how to do it!
