  • pre-WW1 propeller

    Hi,

I discovered this propeller at the Highland Aviation Museum (by Inverness Airport) and thought you guys would appreciate it.

The notice next to it states:

    THE GIBSON FAMILY
    THE AERIAL AGE BEGINS
This propeller was manufactured by the Gibsons themselves from laminates of Spruce. This propeller is one of four which survive today

Thanks for posting. Where is that museum?

I do have one Requa Gibson prop in my collection, but I'm not sure what it was designed for.
