  • Prop Id. Please

This prop was left to me by my Father. It's been stored in the rafters of our garage for decades.
I am hoping someone can id. it and possibly some history. I am cleaning house prepping to move and can't take it with me. Any idea what it is worth would be deeply appreciated.
All the info I have is included in the photos.

    Thank You,
    Ron

It looks like it's for a Liberty engine, which could include a lot of different aircraft. "BAP" is for Bureau of Aircraft Production, and the number is like a serial number.

Hard to know what they're worth, particularly in this market, but I'd say somewhere around $800 to $1000, maybe.

Thanks for the reply. I measured the prop, it's 9' 2". Do you have any idea what the 7" 6" represents.
      Thanks Again,
      Ron

Pitch would typically be stamped as feet and inches or feet and decimal fractions of inches, so I'm guessing that yours has a pitch of 7 feet, 6 inches, and that the foot symbol may be incorrectly stamped.

Thanks Dave. The foot symbol was my typo.
