Hi All,
I'll wondering how the metal sheathing was attached. I've heard it was through rivets or screws that were then soldered and polished down. That seems to jive with the photos I've seen, as well. But, I'm wanting to verify that the rivets/screws were countersunk. That would require a couple of extra steps for countersinking the wood and then the metal. Also, was there some approach to figuring out the spacing of the fasteners. Some of the photos I've seen looked pretty haphazard. I have no illusions, of course, about putting my experiments on anything that turns: strictly display and education. Thanks for any input that anyone can provide.
