This 8' 3" solid oak wooden propeller has the numbers 1591 stamped on the side of the hub. There are no blade tip covers and 8 bolt holes. We are trying to identify where this propeller may have come from. Any help would be appreicated.

There are probably a thousand possibilities. The place to start is to measure the hub dimensions to try to identify the engine used. A photo might help.Dave

Solid Oak Propeller
The hub is 4" thick, 7 1/2" wide and the centre hole is 2 5/8" wide. There is a small engraved square stamp next to one of the holes at the hub. In the centre it is stamped GA LTD and under that is the number 9. There is also a round stamp but is not clear.Originally posted by DaveThere are probably a thousand possibilities. Wooden Propeller
After reviewing the hub dimensions on the link these are the measurements of the wooden propeller that we have, not totally sure if it is oak.Originally posted by DaveGo to the link above and measure the drilled holes and the diameter of the circle they sit on. It might be an OX5 prop, but it could be one of many other possibilities.
Centre Bore Diameter - 2 13/16"
Bolt Hole Circle - 5 1/4"
Wooden Hub Dimensions - 7 1/4"
Bolt Holes - 8
Hub Diameter - 4#
There is no metal hub.
