Default A. Cooper Co. Propeller

Hi,

I have a wooden propeller manufactured by the A. Cooper Company, Branford, CT. It belonged to my Father In Law who picked it up after his return form the Army Air Force in WWII.

It is 85" long (tip to tip)

Hub size is 3" in diameter

Number of mounting holes are 6
It has a decal with "A. Cooper Co. Branford, CT" on it.

In bottom of the hub it has imprinted (stamped) info:
Dwg. No. X43K23447
A. Cooper. Co.
Branford. Ct.

Any help in it's history would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John McCormack

Go to this page and then look up the corresponding Sensenich design number. (Stinson L5)

The 43 in the military drawing number indicates a 1943 contract.

Can you take a clear and sharp closeup of the decal? If so, may I use it on my web page? My email is woodenprops at earthlink dot net.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Default Cooper Propeller Decal

MWP_Lamar

I have a photo of it but I cannot figure out how to post it in a reply. When I hit the photo button all it will accept is a URL address (the photo is on my computer). The site instructions say I can post one from my computer, but I have not figured it out yet. If you have an email address I will send it to you.

Hi,

I think I attached two photos, one of the decal and the other of the data on the propeller.

Feel free to use the decal photo.
