  • Where to find Axial plans or technical drawings

    Hi Everyone,

I am in the early stages of building a full size 1918 Fokker D VII with a Ford 300 i.l. straight 6 engine. I should be pull about 180 to 200 hp and hoping for about 900 torque.

I should be able to run a full size, if not close to, propeller. I would like to explore the possibility of making my own prop but do need the airfoil shapes for the prop. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction?

My build page can be found at a couple places

    "Building a Fokker" on Facebook

    or

    "Building a Fokker D VII"

    Thanks
    Jim

You've probably already explored Achim Engel's site, and I gather he's no longer active. I would see if Chad Wille is still building props, and he may have some Axial drawings. I know that Cole Palen had been pleased with work that Chad had done for him at Rhinebeck. See http://stcroix.50webs.com/.

      Next question

Where do I find a hub for a Fokker D VII propeller?

      Thanks
