  • Propeller ID help

    I have found a propeller in a storage unit from U.S. Propellers Inc.
    It is 72" in length and has the following information on it;

    DES - 76FGS64
    SER - 10382
    RPM - 2200
    HP - 115
    TC - 787

    Can anyone tell me a little about this propeller including how much it may be worth?

    It should be 76" in length (not 72") based on the stamped model number prefix 76FGS . . ." and the pitch is 64 inches.

    It quite apparently has been refinished, which reduces its value considerably. You can check "Completed Items" on eBay under a search for "wooden propeller" and get some idea of what similar props have actually sold for, but my guess is something in the $400 to $600 range. A collector would want to have the original decals present.

    I moved your thread to the "modern" category, as it was manufactured well after WW1, probably in the 40s or 50s.
