  • Grandpa's old Paragon Prop

I'm sorry, i did not see at first that this was the Wooden Propeller Identification form.

Mods, if you can remove my thread in Show and Tell i'd appreciate it.

Have an old wooden Paragon Prop

    Serial - S012968
    Says right hand - 88x300

not restored but pretty scratched up. Any ideas?

That's probably "SC" rather than "SO" and represents a Signal Corps serial number.

They other numbers likely represent diameter and pitch. It should be 8 feet 8 inches from tip to tip.

A few pictures would help. Does it have decals?

I think that's likely a prop like this one, and that the stamping is actually 8'3", not 8'8". It should be easy to tell, just measure it from tip to tip and see if it's 8 feet, 3 inches.
