    I found a wooden propeller with
    D.6-33.P.4-42
    L.L.1714.
    OCT41.
    so Ithink it was made in 1941 can anyone help with mor e info . Dave B

    Any maker's name stamped into it or decals? Not knowing who made it makes ID'ing it almost impossible.

      Manufacture marks

      There are no decals but there are some little stamps I will have to look at them with a magnify glass . dave

        New info

        I found some new info DRG 5220 SC
        GIPSY MAJOR 1C
        and from my research GIPSY MAJOR was an engine used in the chipmunk Aircraft 1C denotes higer compression for racing engines

          Referring to the list here: http://www.woodenpropeller.com/Britishprops.htm there are many listings for DH 5220 prop but I found none for the SC suffix. Perhaps someone else on this Forum will have an answer.

            The L.L. may refer to "Laidlaw Lumber"? I think they made a number of Canadian propellers during and after WW1.
