  • Gardner Propeller identification

Can anyone help me find information regarding the Gardner Propeller Co. of Forest Park IL? I have a prop. and hub and would like to identify the type of engine/airplane it was used on. Here is the information stamped on the propeller:

    Gardner Propellers, Forest Park IL
    1481-25
    ATC - 395

Thanks very much for your help,
    Sam

Your prop was made to fit a 100 hp Kinner K-5 engine as used in the Fleet Model 2, Mohawk Pinto, Kinner Sportster, Bird and perhaps other aircraft.

Any recommendations on clean and waxing the propeller to help preserve it?

Absolutely! I refer you to an excellent page on Dave's website on Preservation FAQ's: http://www.woodenpropeller.com/preservation.html
