I have found two wooden propellers in the crawl space of my house. Can somebody help me to identify them? I have read a little bit about it and I think that they are WWI propellers. I am not sure.
    thank you very much.

    First propeller:
    black color
    • 111 inches long
    • 01597 X15665 AS169795 MCCOOK FIELD
    Second propeller:
    green color
    • 104 ½ INCHES
    • DES H-749 R.H. NO. 9576

I haven't had any luck looking up those specific numbers.

My guess, from the number sequence and general appearance is that they are more likely post WW1, although quite likely from the 1920's.

      Thank you Dave,
Do you think that these propellers will be of any interest for someone who wants to restore them?

No. They are of considerably more value in their present condition. "Restoring" them just makes them ordinary hunks of wood.

You can likely narrow down their use to a specific engine by using their hub dimensions and following the link to the chart for engines. Once you have an engine, the possibilities for aircraft type are narrowed considerably.
