  • German Prop

    Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me identify a prop that I've recently acquired.
It is approx. 87" long with 6 bolt holes. Above the more descriptive decal is an embossed number -57457.
The decals are just legible in parts. The 2 large decals on the blades are 'HEINE' and the more descriptive label roughly reads (some lettering has been lost and some of the lettering I may have got wrong and I apologise to any German speakers out there)

    Hugo Heine Berlin
    motor S.H. ??
    Du???nm 2810
    Steje?? 1840 mm
    ??? ichg 8050

Any info will be much appreciated, thanks.

I can't identify it, but from the description it sounds like a post WW1 era propeller. Heine continued manufacturing well after the War, and I don't think they used decals on any of their earlier (WWI) props.

The numbers refer to diameter and pitch in mm, so yours should be 2810 mm long if the tips have not been cut down.
