  • Flottorp wooden propeller

I recently aquired a wooden propeller but need some help about the company that made it and what it might have been installed on. The prop is 100 inches long with 12 inch long copper tips. It has a 2.75 inch dia hole with 8 mounting holes around it. The serial number is faint . Looks like SC5146. It has Flottorp decals (faint) with "Chicago USA" printed on them. Anyone have any info??
    Thanks.

Does it have Flottorp decals? Flottorp did make some early propellers and your numbers may indicate that it precedes the more modern nomenclature in most listings. It would help to measure the hub dimensions. See this page then follow the link to the hub dimesions table to see if you can find out what engine it was used on. My guess is an OX5.
