  • Found a treasure in Dad's shop

In cleaning out my father's shop, we came across a wooden propeller with the folloiwng information:
7 ft 3 inc hes long
a logo on each end of the prop with the following wording around the flying horse on the propeller "Designed and Built for Fairchild by Sensenich Brothers, Livitz, PA
    DES 86R61
    SER 27121
    HP 180
    RPM 2450
There is a number 1 and number 2 on the reverse side of the blade.

THis appears to be in very good original condition but does have a crack on the right side propeller arm as you are facing it.

I have no idea as to the value of this piece, but have had two people express interest in buying this from us. I don't have pictures as this time, but will be able to take some this weekend and would be glad to post.

Thanks to a very knowledgable group! I look forward to reading responses.

Your prop was manufactured between 1932 and 1942 for a Fairchild PT-19 primary training aircraft. Valuation is extremely dependent upon condition so without being able to see good pictures I wouldn't even hazard a guess.
