  • OX-5 Propeller manufacturer question

    Saturday I found a "tremendous deal" on a ox5 propeller.

    The manufacturer decals are not present, but there is a discoloration where they used to be. Can anybody tell me who the Mfg might have been? I did not see anything that matched on the decal page.

    Doc,

    I'll offer Flottorp as a good possibility. Though the outline is close, it doesn't seem to be a perfect trace of the wings as shown in this image.

    The impression on your prop seems to have very linear wings. Perhaps there were different decal lots with minor differences.

      It's certainly very close, and some of the difference might be due to slightly different angles on the photograph. It's certainly the right era, as Flottorp did produce a number of propellers used on early OX5 powered engines.
