  • Sopwith Triplane Props

Hello one and all. I was wondering if I could pick your collective brains?

The only prop I’ve ever seen listed for the Sopwith Triplane is the Lang LP2100 with the rather distinctive square tipped coffin shaped blades so favoured by that company. There are however plenty of photos of Clerget engined Sopwith Triplanes fitted with a Chauviere style props.

Does anyone know the Drawing Number of this type of prop?

    Thank you,

    Anne

I'll look through my references when I get home. It might be in Bob Gardner's books.

      Thanks for the response Dave.

While looking round your rather wonderful site I noticed that, while I‘m a new member, I appear to have had a presence here for a while. PM sent to explain.

The only prop I have listed is the angular LP2100 designed by the Lang Propeller Co., who were Sopwith's prop makers. It was used with both the 110hp and 130hp Clerget engines.

        With kind regards,

        Bob
