  • Decal for Bob - The Airscrew Company

Hi Bob, in answer to an earlier question of mine, you mentioned that you did not have a good copy of this decal. I found a propeller in the museum with a full decal so here it is. If you would like a hi res copy please email me at joemarsdenatsky.com

Thank you Joe. This is marvellous. I suspect this is an early decal. In 1919 to 1921-ish the Lang Propeller Co turned to making wooden telephone boxes to survive the post WW1 recession in the aviation industry and then emerged as the Airscrew Co. Perhaps their name then was JICWOOD. I'll do some research on Google and in Flight archives. I've emailed you for a hi-res copy of the photograph which will go into the draft second edition of the relevant book. But I would not want anyone to think second editions are imminent!

    With many thanks,

    Bob
