  • Need assistance identifying propeller

I just purchased a wooden propeller. This propeller is about 8ft long with copper plating on the tips. There are 8 holes in the hub. I have located some numbers stamped into the wood and they are SG44015 and below that is A7A (or it could be SC44015). On the hub there is a letter stamped but I cant read it and then next to it is 1 2. I would appreciate any help I could get on this or some guidance on where I can go to find out the history of this propeller. thanks.

Post a picture if you can. I suspect it will turn out to be for a Hall Scott A7A engine, but the aircraft might be hard to narrow down.

ok....that makes sense on the A7A. I looked that up and would this be around the time
period 1915? I found another one someone had and they stated thiers came off a Curtis Jenny. They also had similar numbers on thier prop starting with SC. Who would have
manufactored these? I'll try to get a picture.
