  • Please help identify this Propeller

    Propeller measures 72" long, hub is 6 1/4 wide and opening in the hub is 2 1/4" wide. 6 bolt holes. Leading edge of blade is riveted metal and the tip of blade is riveted copper.

    Wood is dark, most likely walnut or mahagony.

    Markings stamped into the Hub appear to read

    J73SJ (or H73SH or L73SL)
    t.c. 67 (there is another digit on the t.c. either a 2, 3, 5, 6,
    DESIGN 36-50

    no other decals or markings

    I can't find any listed props with that drawing number, and the TC (Type Certificate) number isn't listed either. Most TC numbers are three digits, so yours might have been made early in the type certification process.

        Where is the other number, before or after the 67? We might be able to figure it out or narrow it down.
