I recently bought this mounted propeller blade because I love it as an object but of course immediately wanted to identify it. These are the markings:
DRG No 88.0.232/4
JUPITER X11 2/1
"CALCUTTA"
There is a "2 " stamped a bit further up the blade. Around the diameter of the 8 bolt holes is 28 259
The Calcutta seaplane used a similar 4 blade prop and a Bristol Jupiter engine so I'm guessing this is what it is unless anyone has a better suggestion.
I'm sort of curious what it might be worth. Apparently only 7 of these aircraft were made. I don't know is scarcity has a value!
