  • prop identification

I have a 9'3 1/2" Paragon prop, (when I learn how, I will attach a picture), it has 8, 3/4" mounting holes on 8" bolt circle. The hub is 11 3/4 across, and 5" thick. About 2' of each tip is metal covered.

    Blade markings:
    6906
SC6745 (clover leaf) Inside each leaf of the clover is stamped a U, S, A, 76
    Other blade:

    Right Hand
    9.3 x 6.75

I am guessing it is about 1930's vintage, and was purchasedin the early 1940's at a gov surplus sale at Randaulf AFB, San Antonio, TX.

Any help identifying what it was used on would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I suspect that it's earlier vintage than the 30's, and more likely from the late teens to early twenties. The "SC" is a Signal Corps number and is fairly low, suggesting early production.
