  • Help in identifying propeller

    Hi,

I picked up a large Sennseich propeller at a flea market this weekend and would like to know what it was used on and when it was made.

    The info I have is:

    Manufacturer - Sennsenich
    SN - 64760
    Model - F94C75
    HP Rating - 220HP @ 2075RPM
Material - multiple laminations with leading edge protection
    Bolt Holes - 8

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    thanks,
    bob

That doesn't look like a Sensenich drawing number, although it could be from before they adopted their current system, which uses numbers, letters, and numbers in that order to indicate length, engine or hub characteristics, and pitch.

If it was manufactured by them, it would have been between 1932 and 1942. Does it have Sensenich decals?

      Hi Dave,

Thanks for the input. I can add that it appears to have been originally painted silver, then stripped at a later date. If there were decals they were probably removed when the silver paint was stripped. All the info I gave previously has been stamped into one of the blades. The wood appears to be ash....but I'm no expert on wood types.

      thanks,
      bob

Is the name Sensenich actually stamped into the wood?

          Yes. That's correct.
