  • Question about a Sensenich prop

I inherited fro my father, a Sensenich 72GK-50 prop (S/N S9050), which is now displayed on the wall of my home. On the list of Sensenich prop S/N's I downloaded from Modern wooden Propellors (PDF), only one ā€œSā€ series S/N is listed (S/Nā€™{ 59020 was manufactured 8/53). Can I infer that my prop was also made in 1953?

Thanks to all involved inn the forum and related websites for providing all of this useful information and keeping wooden props alive in the 21st century!

I would infer that. Maybe it was the only one made then. What style decal does it have? I'm not sure when they changed manufacturing locations.

Thanks, here's a photo of the sticker on the prop

It's interesting that this S/N is not listed.

The prop came from a school that used a lot of Piper Cubs, but I've recently learned that they also had at least one Luscombe, which was destroyed in an accident after a power failure on take off in 1950.

It's a newer decal, not sure exactly when they started using them. That size prop was used on A LOT of different airplanes.
