  • Rolls Royce Eagle 8 engine

    Hello,

I have a propeller with 2 blades for a Rolls Royce Eagle 8 engine.
    RH 2611
Is it possible that it's a half of a 4-blades assembly?

I'm looking for any images of Propellors for Rolls Royce Eagle 8 engine.
    Could you help me?
    Thank you

Are those the only numbers stamped on it?

I have a propeller for a RR Eagle 5 engine, but it's left hand rotation (for a DH4, DH9) but I note that it also came in a right hand rotation model. I don't know about the Eagle 8 engine, though, which was developed at the end of WW1 and doesn't appear in any of my listings for WW1 aircraft.

I'm not aware of instances where British propellers were stacked together to make a 4 blade the way some U.S. ones were, but it's certainly plausible.
