    It's a left hand thread, which may narrow it down somewhat (possibly to a pusher configuration rather than tractor), and the 6 bolt hole hub is not typical of most of the WW1 era aircraft, but I think it's going to be difficult to identify.

    The hub looks unusual to me as well. Most of the ones I've seen have been steel and yours looks like either stainless steel, aluminum, or some other alloy.

      Hi,

      About the shielding: rivet heads, implantation pattern and what seems gold paint are all extremely strange and not airworthy. Add the Dave's description of the metallic hub and the absence of markings, and you have a nice deco thing. Perhaps I am wrong, but it is my opinion! Sorry for it if it is against your expectation...
