  • Early prop hub

Hi, I have been emptying my late fathers shed and come accross this propeller hub, I rember him buying it in Middlesbrough UK in the late 1970's.

The prop has the following info:

    G Betjemann and Sons
    DG P43
    80 Le Rhone
    D102.375
    P 92.2
    B8 696

Sadly at some point in it's life someone has put feet on the side with the makers markings. Any information would be greatfully received, I guess the feet have reduced it's value.

    Regards Hal

It was designed to be used on an AVRO 504K or what's listed as an "SB3D", although I don't know what that is, and I think that the AVRO is much more likely.

    P.S.

I see that the SB3D evidently refers to "Sopwith - Beardmore".

Many thanks for the information, not sure what to do with it, such a shame the feet were fitted to it.
