  • How old and how much would this wooden propeller be worth?

I have a 6 ft. wooden propeller. It has the following inscriptions on it. The leading edge and tips are brass. The manufacturer is Sensinich? The Model is 720-42. Serial # is 79168 followed on the following line by the number 65 and that is followed on the following line by the number 2350. On the back side of the propeller the serial # is repeated around the attachment point. Also a # 2 is stamped on the outer edge of the mounting area. Approximately 1 ft. of the tips are painted black as well as the brass edges. The front center portion has a black paint design. This was given to my husband at about the age of 12 and he is now 61.

If anyone has any information about this propeller, please let me know.

By its serial number it was made between 1932 and 1942. I have no listings for this design number 720-42. Sorry.

      Might be an 72" (-0) X 42" fit a Continental A-65 if the hub is SAE 1
for Cub, Aeronca Champion os something similar.

Look for similar props that have sold on eBay. That style goes for bids in the $200 to $800 range, depending on condition, etc. It's hard to pin down a specific "value."
