I have a R/C Fokker DR1 that is around 1/5 scale and I know that they used Axle props that were very long in size. A 19 or 20x8-10 would be about scale if I needed to a prop for a 1/5 scale plane.
I read that a few WWI pilots from Germany experimented by using captured props and engines for the Dr1 and I was wondering if the length of the French or British props were shorter, or longer in length than the stock Axle prop that the Dr1 had for a stock prop.
The reason I ask this is because I have a 18x8 French style prop on my plane and I was wondering if I need to get a longer prop, or I can get away with it?
