  • Need ID /Aircraft for Senseinich Wood Prop

HI - came across this prop at an estate sale an picked it up for my wall. Can't seem to get a good ID on it using the charts available online. Hoping someone can help.

SB Wooden Prop - 8 bolt hub , green metal leading edge guard

    Model# 83AA60, or B3AA60 - the first character is a little blurred

    SER 72868
    HP 185
    RPM 2550
    ATC588

On the Hub is 72868 and 48.

    Thanks in advance...

I don't know why that doesn't appear on the published Sensenich listings. It is listed in a government publication but doesn't specify the aircraft or engine used. The Type Certificate expired February 21, 1956, and I have the hub dimensions listed, but you'd have those by measurement.

Interestingly, that's only one of two Sensenich props listed for 185 HP engines, and that's the only one with that hub size.

Maybe the Sensenich factory in Florida would have some information, but don't be surprised if they're baffled as well.
