  • wooden propeller numbers?

    Hello, new to the forum.
Trying to indentify a propeller for my father who bought a sensenich propeller recently. I need help with the numbers if possible. When looking up the numbers, I'm having problems. some of the stamping on the prop is unclear what I can tell is 2850 RPM HP 65 It looks like "DES" or DEC which is right? the number with that is 72044 and lastly SER I'm guessing 29583 thanks for any help

Hi Criss and welcome! DES is correct, is short for "design" or design number. The design number is most likely 72C44, you can find aircraft usage for it here: www.modernwoodenpropellers.com/sensenich.htm. You can find the approximate date of manufacture using the serial number here: www.woodenpropeller.com/Sensenichdates.pdf.
