  • Wooden Propeller Clock- please help ID

I recently bought a 'Wooden propeller timepiece' from an antique dealer. I am advised that it is British and from late WWI. However, I would like to know what type of aircraft is likely to have originated from. Unfortunately no markings are visible- possibly due to its conversion into a clock (the propeller appears to have been sliced in half giving the reverse a straight finish). I would appreciate any opinions as to this propeller's origin.

    Many thanks.

There were literally hundreds of different designs for propellers. Without markings there just is no way to identify it.

Imagine trying to identify a tire model from a piece of rubber. It's a similar challenge.
