Does anyone have any good procedures for getting the lag screws out of Beech Roby blade shanks to keep from breaking them off?
    Thanks

That's an adjustable prop. I suggest you contact the proprietor of the web page www.notplanejane.com.

      Beech Roby Lag Screws

      Ken.
When taking them out you may have to do it in steps to prevent them from heating up. During unscrewing them the friction heats up the bolt and it expands making it tighter so if you are getting a lot of resistance after a few revolutions then quit and go to another screw. Some may come all the way out without binding up. Others may not. Let them sit an cool off and try later. When you go back to a screw first turn it in a quarter to half revolution then continue to back it out. Sometimes it takes patience.
