Can you tell me the plane and engine for this prop. I didn’t see it listed on your Fahlin webpage. Also, why did they get chopped off? Prevent use when damaged? Great website.
    Thx

That's a "test club" and nothing has been chopped off. It is used to provide drag on an engine being run on a test stand and is purposely inefficient, as you'll notice that the blades are a fixed angle rather than changing pitch along the blade, as all aircraft mounted props do.

It's stamped for the Continental R 670 engine and is not specific to any aircraft make and model, just the engine itself.

Interesting, thanks for the quick reply. Any idea year it’s may have been used?

No, I don't. It was likely manufactured in the 40s or 50s and could conceivably still be used, since I don't think it has to be airworthy for its purpose as a test club.
